Abstract
This research investigated the psychometric properties of the Displaced Aggression Questionnaire (DAQ; Denson, Pedersen & Miller, 2006) in a Romanian college sample. The study was performed on a sample of 228 participants, aged between 18 and 25 years, using the DAQ and Buss-Perry’s Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ; Buss & Perry, 1992). Confirmatory factor analysis supported the original three-factor structure. The factors’ reliability ranged from .89 to .92, thus showing optimal reliability. Also, the correlations between the displaced and the direct forms of aggression were in the expected direction and had the expected magnitude. Overall, the results showed that the DAQ is a valid and reliable tool for assessing displaced aggression in Romanian college students.
