DRIVING BEHAVIOR SELF-PERCEPTION IN BUZAU GARBAGE-TRUCK DRIVERS - PILOT STUDY

Abstract

This researchhighlights the self-perception of road behavior of professional garbage-truck drivers in Buzau, Romania. Method: Participants were a total of 35 maleprofessional garbage-truck, aged between 25 and 54 years old, from Buzau, Romania. Tools: Self-perception of traffic behavior Questionnaire (DEA 1) (Danita Egred-Adriana, 2012). Results: A single statistically significant correlation between variables networking relationships with other road and driving style was confirmed (r = 0.86, p <0.01). Moreover, behaviors such as accommodating traffic exhaustion, the omission of traffic signs due to fatigue, which is a major risk in traffic that professional drivers should take it into account when they go on tour route, were highlighted (Oregon Driving Manual 2012-2013 (2012).
