Correlative study between personality traits and wellbeing at Romanian sailors

Abstract

The main purpose of the study is to identify the connections between the personality dimensions and psychological wellbeing mood to the Romanian sailors. Starting from this, we delivered assumptions that there are important and significant connections between personality dimensions and wellbeing mood. Our instruments were Ryff Well Being Scale, Hexaco-PI-R (100 items version) and for the statistics, we had SPSS. Our sample was composed from 30 participants (15 males and 15 women) with ages between 30 and 40 years old. The target population  were Romanian sailors.

According to the results, we can confirm that there is a significant relationship between personality and wellbeing mood. There were high scores to the correlation between main personality dimensions and wellbeing mood. So, we notice very significant connections between Autonomy and Openness to Experience, Honesty - Humility, Extraversion and Conscientiousness.
